The Agglomeration community of La Rochelle ((フランス語:Communauté d'agglomération de La Rochelle)) is an intercommunal structure gathering La Rochelle with seventeen surrounding towns and villages of Aunis in the northern Charente-Maritime. In January 2000, the Community of cities of La Rochelle ((フランス語:Communauté de villes de La Rochelle)) turned into the Agglomeration community of La Rochelle. With 146,362 inhabitants at the moment of the 2007 census, the Agglomeration community of La Rochelle is the most populated intercommunal structure in the Poitou-Charentes. The Agglomeration community of La Rochelle divides into two constituencies: Charente-Maritime's 1st constituency and Charente-Maritime's 2nd constituency.
